The top photo is our brunch at the Gold Coast Hotel on Sunday. The Hotel is located adjacent to the apartment complex, a very hot walk along the harbour. The food was great. They had everything imaginable from watermelon pudding to a chocolate fountain, sushi bar and deep fried chickens with the heads (very pleasant in the morning).
The second photo Leslie Kay, Nydia and me at Lan Kwai Fong - the very popular night time entertainment district - on Saturday night. Notice the tank top I'm wearing... it is an exclusive and limited edition Snow White shirt I bought at my new favorite store in Tsim Sha Tsui called Moiselle. We also look smily and happy because we've had the most wonderful body massage you can experience in Hong Kong in the afternoon. It costs $228HK and the place is amazing.

Here's Sara. Be sure to check out her blog because we usually hang out together. On this specific evening, we enjoyed Thai food. I ordered this fabulous green apple soda. We've been pretty daring when it comes to meal time. This past weekend, I hit my chopsticks and knocked a bowl of something on my lap. I'm still not sure what we were eating, but it tasted good. Sara washed my jeans and it took nearly 3 days to dry. My washer is still not functioning. It may be operator error.
Curious?
In the Gold Coast Apartments, you have to turn on your gas water heater before taking shower. This unit is on the back wall of the shower and heats the water. I believe it is a gas heater. The switch to turn it on/off is on the wall next to the light switch. The unit heats the water instantly. If you don't turn this off after use, the maid service will report you to Disney HR for breaking the rules. Other rules include: turn off the air conditioner when you leave the apt, take trash out every day so you don't attract bugs and don't use your washcloth to wipe off make-up. I'm not kidding on the last one. We received a note from the apt management that said you should not use your (apartment furnished) washcloth to remove make-up. OK? haha

Tower 16- Floor 12B
I decided to decorate my dining table with some simple placemats and chopsticks from the Stanley market. The candles are from IKEA. You could go crazy at IKEA decorating your flat, but I'd rather buy shoes. The door in the back leads to my balcony with a pool view. Yes, it's really tough.
Here's me posing as Minnie Mouse. We have a photo shoot on Tuesday and we are trying to find tight shots inside the park. It's still a construction site, so finding a photo location is challenging. We won't be using this spot. The Time Magazine piece is running On July 11 in the Asia edition and I believe the same for the US. Jay Rasulo, president of WDP & R finished his interview with the magazine this afternoon.
Special Item at the Wellcome Grocery Store (Wellcome has two L's)My new favorite item at the grocery store is called Crumpy. It's chocolate spread for crackers or whatever. It's located in the peanut butter section of the store. Here in HK, you have a grocery store with two floors. This weekend, I bought mini hotdogs in fresh baked rolls. They were wonderful.

On June 30th, I visited the park for the first time. While the rain kept us pretty damp- the tour was first class. Tom Morris, WDI Imagineer (blue shirt near center) was our tour guide. He provided great detail about the park. We were hosting the Time Magazine repoprter. The park is still a construction zone- so hard hats are required. It was pretty amazing to listen to the BGM- the same Main Street, USA music was playing that we hear at WDW.
Here's a snapshot at Disney University in Hong Kong. It is located in the downtown area- several subway stops and tranfers from the Resort site. Michael Schuman (center) is the Time Magazine reporter that is writing a piece on HKDL. Esther (far right) is my co-worker on the Public Affairs team. Greg Wann (second from left) is the VP of Human Resources here in HKDL. I can't remember the name of the other Cast Member. During our visit to DU, we attended a Traditions class in Cantonese. They have alot of fun with the class and the participants seem so excited about HKDL.
