Reminders of Home
My brother has been sending me picture of Sage. Isn't she beautiful? Can't wait to get home to see her.
Big Buddah
Took a trip up the mountain to visit the Big Buddah. The bus ride up was half the fun. The views were spectacular.
Cast Appreciation
We worked in the park today handing out Mickey Ears, water and ice cream for the Cast. The Task Force turned out in full force!! The HKDL Cast was thrilled.

Dinner at Felipe's

Felipe and Nydia made beans & rice. We all got together on Sunday night to enjoy good company and great food.

Task Force Team Dinner

The Grand Opening Task Force went out for a team dinner. Pictured here, the Public Affairs Team- Hong Kong, WDW, DLRP and Strategic Communications.

Dinner at Disneyland Hotel
I sat next to Mike at dinner this week. The snomen are made of a sugar cookie-like dough. This was the first meal served at Crystal Lotus- a very nice Chinese restaurant at the hotel. We were lucky- we sat at the table with Bob Iger.
The Hong Kong "Traditional" Mickey
Bob and Jay visited HKDL this week and we coordinated a photo and video shoot with Mickey. Of course, we snuck in for a shot.
Stormy Night at Gold Coast Apartments
Power was knocked out on Tuesday after a storm rolled through our complex. David Roark captured this photo. The thunder was so loud, we all traded phone calls for comfort.

The top photo is our brunch at the Gold Coast Hotel on Sunday. The Hotel is located adjacent to the apartment complex, a very hot walk along the harbour. The food was great. They had everything imaginable from watermelon pudding to a chocolate fountain, sushi bar and deep fried chickens with the heads (very pleasant in the morning).

The second photo Leslie Kay, Nydia and me at Lan Kwai Fong - the very popular night time entertainment district - on Saturday night. Notice the tank top I'm wearing... it is an exclusive and limited edition Snow White shirt I bought at my new favorite store in Tsim Sha Tsui called Moiselle. We also look smily and happy because we've had the most wonderful body massage you can experience in Hong Kong in the afternoon. It costs $228HK and the place is amazing.

Happy Birthday Bird
We are thinking about you today and we miss you!
Love,
Jacquee & Sara
Happy Birthday Sis!!!

Sara
Here's Sara. Be sure to check out her blog because we usually hang out together. On this specific evening, we enjoyed Thai food. I ordered this fabulous green apple soda. We've been pretty daring when it comes to meal time. This past weekend, I hit my chopsticks and knocked a bowl of something on my lap. I'm still not sure what we were eating, but it tasted good. Sara washed my jeans and it took nearly 3 days to dry. My washer is still not functioning. It may be operator error.

Curious?
In the Gold Coast Apartments, you have to turn on your gas water heater before taking shower. This unit is on the back wall of the shower and heats the water. I believe it is a gas heater. The switch to turn it on/off is on the wall next to the light switch. The unit heats the water instantly. If you don't turn this off after use, the maid service will report you to Disney HR for breaking the rules. Other rules include: turn off the air conditioner when you leave the apt, take trash out every day so you don't attract bugs and don't use your washcloth to wipe off make-up. I'm not kidding on the last one. We received a note from the apt management that said you should not use your (apartment furnished) washcloth to remove make-up. OK? haha
